Point of Single Contact

The National Board of Trade, together with the Swedish Consumer Agency and the Swedish Agency for Economic and Regional Growth have, by direction of the government, built up the Swedish Point of Single Contact for services. The main role of the contact point is to facilitate service providers’ and service recipients’ access to the information they need to be able to carry on service operations in an EU country. The contact point is web-based with a supplementary manual service function.

The web-based part of the contact point is at Verksamt.se. By means of the contact point service providers can, by electronic means, apply for a permit and communicate with the authority issuing the permit. The contact point can also provide other information, of a practical nature, for those establishing service operations.

The manual service function is located at the National Board of Trade and its principle role is to guide the questioners into Verksamt.se. The service function also answers general questions on the Services Directive, and helps service providers and service recipients with information concerning the interpretation and application of the Services Directive.
