During year 2010, the National Board of Trade will organize a Training Programme on Trade Facilitation, inviting participants from countries in the Eastern parts of Africa. It aims at strengthening the participating countries´ capacity to participate in regional and international trade by enhancing managerial and technical skills, focusing on trade facilitation in the East region of Africa.
The programme will be divided in two parts during a 12-month period. One part is a two-week training in Sweden in May 17-28, 2010 and the other part is a one week follow-up regional workshop in one of the participants' countries in November 2010. The training will be carried out by Swedish and international experts on trade facilitation through general training and capacity building of key persons in the public sector (i.e. customs, other authorities or ministries) and the private sector (i.e. chambers of commerce and companies).
