SWEPRO welcomes new Chair
Eva Sjögren from the Swedish National Board of Trade recently took on the role of new Chair of SWEPRO (The Swedish Trade Procedures Council), hence replacing the former Chair Johan Krafft. Eva Sjögren has also been appointed new head of the Department for International Developments in Trade, at the National Board of Trade.

Coordination of the programmes for Authorized Economic Operators (AEO) has been initiated but it is a slow process is . This is a good summary of the Swedish National Board of Trade study entitled:” Mutual recognition of AEO programmes Supply chain security and trade facilitation– progress report fall 2010”. The study is a follow-up of previous reports on the subject of supply chain security.

EUROPRO Relaunch: Competitiveness goal for all trade facilitation
EUROPRO relaunched and reformed its activities at a meeting held in Stockholm, SWEDEN, Thursday 5 November 2009. The 20 organisations represented in EUROPRO stressed the necessity of Trade facilitation as a natural component of Customs reform in Europe, but also in regulatory reform and security issues. ”For Europe this is a crucial issue of competitiveness”, says Johan Krafft, Chairman of SWEPRO, hosting the meeting.
