UN/CEFACT updates for public review

The UN/CEFACT, a UN-organ responsible for Trade Facilitation and standardisation of electronic business documents, invites comments on it’s recent updates on recommendations and electronic standards.

The UN/CEFACT has recently published a number of updates. These updates concern revisions to the Annex to Recommendation 6 (to accommodate e-Invoicing) and to recommendation 21 (Package type codes), and updates drafts of recommendation 34 and 35 both concerning the implementation of Single Windows for trade.

The UN/CEFACT also approved UMM foundation module 2.0 and the UMM base module 2 as well as the UN/CEFACT XML NDR Version 3.0 for implementation verification.

These technical documents are important stepping stones for the further development of the UN/CEFACT standards for electronic trade documents.

The UN/CEFACT invites comments on the document.
The next review of comments will take place at the UN/CEFACT Forum in Rome on 20 - 24 April, so please send in your comments before the 17tf of April 2009.
